Kent Wright of Huntsville, AL departed this life on July 18, 2011 at the age of 49 years old.

He was born in Knasas City, MO, the fifth child of Benjamin and Josephine Wright. While growing up, he attended Catholic School and played sports, especially football. He bonded with his father and brothers during their many fishing trips to the Lake of the Ozarks and Grand Lake. As a growing teenager, he would ask family members at the dinner table, “Are you going to eat that?”, then devour the food in questionbefore they had a chance to respond–thus earning him the nickname”Buzzard”.

As a young man, Kent joined the U. S. Army, and ultimately attained the rank of Sergeant. Following his honorable discharge, his work as a missile technician enabled him to travel the world. He frequently Alaska, Germany, Korea, but his favorite destination was Hawaii– despite the severe sunburns he received after falling asleep on the beach.

Although Kent spent most of his adult life in Huntsville, he never wavered in his loyalty to the Kansas City Cheifs. His wardrobe included Cheifs coats, tshirts, sweatshirts, hats, and even socks-all of which he wore on game days, despite living in enemy territory.

The light of his life was Kent’s life was his daughter, Josephine. He completely devoted himself to being a good father- as evidenced by his willingness to repeatedly play her favorite childhood game, “Pretty Pretty Princess”, which included wearing clipon earrings and a tiara. From the first day of school through prom, he was there for every milestone in her life.

He is survived by his daughter, Josephine (who is expecting “Baby Clyde”); and his siblings, Chris, Celeste, Cheryl, Greg, Jeff, and Scott.
