Kenneth W. Ray, 89, died January 7, 2021 peacefully at home. He was born October 13, 1931 in a small farming community, Possum Walk, Missouri, the son of Donald Lewis Charles Ray and Lona Edna (Dolph) Ray.
Kenneth (aka “Kenney”) graduated as valedictorian from Pickering High School, Class of 1949. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a high-speed radio operator. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a Depot Agent and Telegrapher with the C.B.&Q. Railroad company. Kenneth worked as an accountant for over 35 years at Sinclair Refining Company, Pittsburg and Midway Coal Mining Company, and Chevron.
He married his bride, Catherine Jeanne (Powell) Ray on September 19, 1954 celebrating 66 years of marriage.
