Kenneth W. Pemberton, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Bonjellico, KY on December 10, 1936, he was the son of Leslie and Grace Taylor Pemberton. Formerly of McAllen, TX, he had been a resident of Boerne since 2006, and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Pemberton is survived by his wife, Maria Pemberton; daughters, Shirley Kay Pemberton Guerra and Sherry Fay Pemberton and her husband, Herman Thomas; grandchildren, Kristian Brian Guerra, Kaylynn Nikole Guerra, Kristopher R. Guerra, Kenneth Taylor Trevino and Liliana Trevino (Adopted); brother, Charles Bruce Pemberton; sisters, Peggy Lou Flanagan, Cheryl Pricilla Dobiez, and Gail Evelyn Pemberton. For those who were blessed to have known Ken, you would always find him with a smile on his face and a story to tell. He was a thinking man who placed great value on a person”s work ethic and ones responsibility to family. Later in life, Ken spent countless hours at the family ranch teaching his two treasured daughters everything he knew about cattle and deer. He also found extra enjoyment sharing his love for hunting and ranching with his five grandchildren. The Recitation of the Rosary will be on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
