Those left to honor Kenneth’s memory include his wife Wilma of Newton; three sons: Gary (Wanda) Twombley of Newton, James (Peggy) Twombley of Melbourne, and Glen (Nancy) Twombley of Spencer; his six grandchildren: Troy Twombley, Matthew Twombley, Jamie Twombley, Keith Twombley, Jessica Aboca, and Justin Mitchell; honorary son, Dennis Tague of Olathe, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth Wellington Twombley, son of Wilbur and Florence (Cannon) Twombley, was born December 20, 1920 in Jasper county. He was a lifelong Newton area resident.
Kenneth died Thursday, January 29, 2008 at Baxter Health Care Center in Baxter. He was 88. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diane; sisters Winona Griffin and Rita Smith; an infant brother; and his step parents, Arlene and Joe Dvorak.
