Kenneth W. Ramsey, 78, of Lincoln, passed away May 19, 2014 in Lincoln. He was born to Sam and Mildred (Nichols) Ramsey on June 22, 1935 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.
Ken graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1953. He played football for Tecumseh during his high school years. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the mid-1950’s. Ken was united in marriage to Jean Arnold in May of 1959. To this union three children were born, Ken, Bob and Kay.
He was a retiree of Goodyear Tire and Rubber. Ken was an avid fan of Husker sports.
He is survived by sons, Ken (Melitana) Las Cruces, NM and Bob of Pahoa, Hawaii, granddaughter, Kara Ramsey-Shervanick, son-in-law, Greg Shervanick, step-granddaughter, Stephanie (Chris) Trujillo all of Las Cruces, NM, great-grandchildren, Johnny, Sly and Stonnie, sister, Roberta (Don) Antholz of Lincoln, brother-in-law, Lyle Terveen of Sioux Falls, SD, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friend, Virginia Rudder of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kay, brothers Bob and Keith Ramsey, sister, Elaine Terveen and 2 nieces.
