Kenneth W. Johnson, 74, of 7230 Perkins 30.5 Road, Rapid River, passed away Sunday October 22, 2017 at the Upper Peninsula Health Care System in Marquette following a brief illness.
Kenneth was born August 28, 1943 in Rapid River the son of Woodrow and Eugenia (Martin) Johnson. He was raised on the family farm in Rapid River and he graduated in 1961 from Perkins High School.
Ken lived all of his life in Rapid River where he worked as a logger and later did construction work until his retirement. Ken enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Travis, and watching wildlife in his backyard and drinking a cold Miller Highlife. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and going to the casino.

Daughter: Tina (James) Brassick of Gladstone
Grandchildren: Travis Brassick of Rapid River and Sirena (Brian) Nieman of Wayne, MI
Brother: Marty (Phyllis) Johnson of Gladstone
Sisters: Ellen Dalgard of Rapid River and Bonnie (William “Sonny”) LaCosse of Perkins
Numerous nieces, nephews and his special pets, Jake and Buddy also survive.
His parents preceded Ken in death.
