Born on January 24 (we think), 1939 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Everett and Gertrude Tague. He joined the Navy after high school where he served for four years and was honorably discharged. After his time in the Navy, he joined Northwestern Bell where he retired many years later.

Ken enjoyed golfing, playing cards, smoking cigars, bowling, and happy hour with his friends. He was also an avid Hawkeye fan. But above all else, he had a great sense of humor and was a kind, generous soul with a great love for his family. Ken and his wife Mary were members of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale.
Ken is survived by his children, Elizabeth (Scott) Buckley, Mark (Connie) Tague; grandchildren, Alyssa, Zach, and Madi Buckley, Taylor, Caden, and Bryce Tague; and many nieces and nephews.
