Kenneth D. Schwerin Sr., age 91, passed away peacefully on April 24, was born in Philadelphia to the late Florence and Louis Schwerin. He was raised by his mother and late stepfather Clarence Wooden.Kenneth attended Ridley Twp. High School. He served in the Navy from 1946 to 1948 aboard the USS Washington BB56. He worked as a welder for Sun Oil where he retired in 1984.Kenneth was a past Master Mason of Penn Lodge 709. He was a member of Sun Retirees and Aston Seniors.Kenneth was a longtime resident of Aston where he resided with his wife of 70 years, Dorothy (Young) Schwerin. Besides his wife he is also survived by his sons Kenneth Jr. (Judi) Schwerin, Keith (Dawn) Schwerin, daughter Karen (Anthony) Figurelle and daughter in law Michelle Schwerin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Kenneth was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Dawn Schwerin, son Kristopher Schwerin Sr., sister Florence Boyer and her husband Calvin.
