Kenneth Robert Gumm came into this world on January 19, 1947, born to Kenneth and Margaret Gumm in Detroit, Michigan. He made his transition on May 25, 2017. Ken grew up on the tough streets of Detroit and spent much of his time living in the housing projects. Although going to an assorted eight different Detroit Public Schools, he went on to earn his BS degrees in Finance and in Economics, and then an MBA in Accounting from Wayne State University in Detroit. Kenneth courageously worked a man’s 40 hour week factory job while in his last two years of high school in order to support his mother, handicapped sister and two younger brothers. He served in the US Army and was a ‘mustang’, going from Sergeant First Class E-7 to a direct commission of 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Special Forces. That commission was an actual act of the U.S. Congress. He was proud of achieving the honor of becoming a Green Beret. Kenneth worked as a financial analyst for an energy company before becoming a Realtor in 1978 and has been a leader in his field for 39 years.
