Mr. Kenneth Keith Richardson (Sergeant, U.S. Army Retired), passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 12:42 a.m., at James A. Haley Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Tampa, Florida.  He was 64 years old.

Mr. Richardson was born on July 17, 1957, in San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies to Wilma Snell and Lawrence Richardson.  After immigrating to the United States, he lived in Brooklyn, New York where he attended Erasmus Hall High School.  He later joined the U.S. Army in 1979 where he began his life-long cherished career as a U.S. Army soldier.  He held many positions and occupational specialties.

 During his 24-year enlistment, he met and married his beloved wife, Mamie Richardson, of 37 years, and during that marriage had a total of five children, three daughters and two sons.  His five children were his pride and joy.

Upon his honorable military retirement, he went back to work for the Department of Defense as a Logistics Assistance Representative (LAR) doing what he loved most, supporting soldiers.

Mr. Richardson was a gregarious man of the people who made friends everywhere he went, and he loved helping others.  He was an expert Automotive Technician, who loved to grill and cook, travel and work in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Richardson and stepfather, James “Boise” DeCoteau.
