Kenneth (Kenn) Johnson passed away September 3rd at the age of 92. He was born May 31, 1929 in Superior, WI to Hugo and Geneva Johnson. He had two younger sisters, Marjorie and Barbara. Kenneth graduated from high school in Askov, Minnesota in 1947. In 1948 he joined the Air Force. Over the next 21 years he was stationed at bases in TX, WA, NE, MA, NH, ND and England.
On September 16, 1951, he married Muriel Jensen in Askov, MN and they moved to Sheppard AFB, TX in Wichita Falls to begin their married life. Their son, David, was born on November 18, 1952.
While stationed at Offutt AFB, NE, daughter Linda joined the family on February 5, 1955. Youngest son, Steven, was born November 25, 1959 in an English hospital.
Upon retirement in 1969 the family moved to Lakewood, Colorado and Kenneth became an instructor and Business Department Chair at Parks Business College of Denver. In 1983 he became an independent contractor and worked for a number of property management companies.
Kenn and Muriel enjoyed a second home in Grand Lake for 35 years and upon selling that in 2017 they moved to the retirement community of Wind Crest in Highlands Ranch in May of 2018 where he passed away at Mill Vista Lodge Continuing Care Center.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Muriel, sons David and Steven, daughter Linda (Mike) Riley, grandsons Sean and Brandon Riley, granddaughters Katy Havens and Sarah Johnson, great grandchildren Madison and Michael Riley, and sister Barb Koehmstedt, plus many nieces and nephews.
