Kenneth R. Anaya, Kenny, passed away on March 25, 2023, at his home in Alamogordo NM at the age of 57 years old. He was born on July 4, 1965, in Albuquerque NM to Lydia and Ernest Anaya. Kenny moved to Springerville AZ with his family where he participated in football, baseball, wrestling, and ran track. He graduated from Round Valley High school to continue his education in Kansas on a baseball scholarship. 

After suffering a sports injury, he began his career with Brown and Root. While progressing through his career, he worked as a boilermaker at the mines in Silver City NM, the shipyards in Washington, and finally settled in Alamogordo NM giving up his career as a boilermaker to raise his 2 daughters. During his time in Alamogordo, he worked for Basin Pipe and Metal, Karl Kelly and Mesa Verde. Kenny was a man of many talents and never hesitated to help anyone, no matter the circumstance. Kenny was an avid hunter, fisher, and all-around outdoorsman. Aside from his hobbies and work, he always made certain time was spent with friends and family. Kenny did everything from helping a stranger and coaching sports, to letting his girls paint his fingernails and braided their hair. Most importantly, Kenny did everything and anything he could for his two girls.  

Kenny is survived by his mother, Lydia Anaya; his two daughters, Danika Anaya, Daraka and Mark Holmes; his siblings, Chris and Natalie Anaya, Elizabeth and Ray Logan, and Violet Leonard. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Anaya on Nov. 13, 2019, and his brother, Eugene Anaya on Oct. 28, 2020.
