Kenneth Paul Smith, 72, of Jacksonville, IL, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his home.
He was born April 29, 1948, in Scott County, the son of James Haden and Hattie Mae (Kinder) Smith.
He is survived by three brothers, Raymond Smith of San Jose, Herbert (Theresa) Smith of Virden, and William Smith of Virginia; two sisters, Martha Ogle of Jacksonville, and Mary Turner of Waverly; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Elsie Mae; and four brothers, James Smith, Marvin Smith, Floyd Smith, and Clarence Smith (surviving wife Annabelle of Lewiston).
Mr. Smith had worked at Passavant Memorial Area Hospital in Jacksonville for many years. He was a longtime member of Harvest Temple United Pentecostal Church, where he enjoyed playing his guitar. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, his guns, and especially enjoyed holiday meals and spending time with his family.
