Kenneth Lee Jones Sr. , age 75 of Wellington passed away in Mercy Allen Hospital on Friday November 16, 2018 following a short illness. He was born March 17, 1943 in Elyria and was a 1961 graduate of Oberlin High School and finished trade school in Braidwood, Illinois at the Greer Technical Institute. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Oberlin and was a 51 year member of the International Union of Ohio Operating Engineers. His hobbies were working and traveling every year with his family to the AuSable River in Northern Michigan.. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Nancy ( nee Hancock ) Jones, daughters Leanne ( Jay ) Murrillo of Scottsdale, Arizona, Lynne ( Steven ) Knapp of Wellington and by his son Kenneth L. Jones Jr of Wellington. Survivors also include his grandchildren Reece Jones, Jacob Knapp, Grace Knapp and sister Shirley Law of Henrietta and brother Tom Jones of San Jose, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Katherine ) nee Gerhardinger.
