Kenneth “Kenny” L. Weise, 66 years of age, of Western passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born on December 24, 1950 in Beatrice to Carl and Barbara (Hoyle) Weise. Kenny graduated from Beatrice High School in 1969. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from September 9, 1969 to April 26, 1972. Kenny married Beth Willey in 1972 and later divorced. He worked for Petersen Manufacturing in DeWitt from 1976 to 2002 before working at Exmark Manufacturing, retiring in 2013. Kenny was a member of the American Legion.
Kenny is survived by his son, Shawn Weise and wife Gina of DeWitt; 2 daughters, Sheila Decker and husband Jim of Wymore, Heather Selby and husband Ron of Arizona City, Arizona; 7 grandchildren, Trevor Kropp and wife Jill, Katherine Poage, Shelby Decker, Taiton Decker, Ethan Decker, Talon Decker, Christian Selby; 4 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, David Weise and wife Rhonda of Beatrice, Carol Blobaum and husband Brian of Fairbury, Robert Weise and wife Cindy of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Daniel Weise and wife Diana of Beatrice, John Weise and wife Pam of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Steven Weise.
