Kenneth L. Garner, 73, of Fortville, passed away April 23, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. He was born August 11, 1942 in Walnut Grove, MS to the late Melvin and Mayola B. (Moore) Garner. Mr. Garner founded Garner’s Towing in Fortville in 1974 and owned the business for several years, retiring in 2005.
He was also a former Fortville Fireman and member of the Fortville Police Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Linda Lou (Brown) Garner, whom he married on June 1, 1959; and sons: Terry (Brenda) Garner of Cape Coral, FL, Gary (Sheryl “Sheri”) Garner of Fortville, and Jamey (fiancée Deidra Ballard) Garner of Fortville; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers Rev. Ernest Garner and Bob (Joyce) Garner; and sisters Fern Myers and Faye Goff. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Ray Garner; daughter Donna Jo Scearce; and several brothers and sisters.
