Reverend Kenneth John Mangold, 44, of Metamora passed away at 12:30 am on Friday, September 26, 2014. He was born on November 19, 1969 in Peoria to Richard and Roberta Jean “BJ” (Laurie) Mangold. He married Lisa A. Vollrath on May 20, 1989 in Eureka. She survives.
Also surviving are his children Alyssa, John and Aleena Mangold; brothers Richard (Tammy) Mangold of Columbia, MO and Dennis Mangold of Fayetteville, AR; father-in-law James Vollrath; and mother-in-law Carol (Flesner) Hayse. He was preceded in death by grandparents Kenneth and Alice Mangold and John and Mary Laurie, sister-in-law Janet Mangold, and cousins Gina Dobbelaire and Morgan Ciota.
Ken was a 1987 graduate of Metamora Township High School, 1991 graduate of Western Illinois University, and 1998 graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He served in the Air National Guard from 1986 to 1990.
