Kenneth H. Wyss, age 90, of Beloit, died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. He was born September 24, 1921 in Knox Township, the son of the late Emanuel E. and Lyda (Urmson) Wyss. Kenneth retired from the Pacific Inter-Mountain Express Company and had previously driven for the Sebring Trucking Company. He had also worked at several area farms, drove a milk route, and was a security guard at Ponderosa Park and a bus driver for West Branch Schools. Mr. Wyss was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ and a member of the Teamsters Local 24 in Akron. He loved camping, watching his children participate in their many hobbies and sporting events and playing with his dog, “Misty”. His wife of 69 years, Dorothy M. (McMillin) Wyss, whom he married June 7, 1941, preceded him in death December 2, 2010. An infant son, John F. Wyss and two brothers, Paul and Donald Wyss also preceded him in death. Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Tom) Sobotka of Bellview, Florida, Helen (Frank) McBride of Salem and Vickie (Jack) Steele of Beloit; two sons, Bart (Margie) Wyss of Salem and Bret Wyss of Orion, Michigan; a brother, Robert N. Wyss of Salem; ten grandchildren, Christine Maguire, Jack K. (Julie) Steele, Bret M. Wyss, Gabriel Wyss, Bart K.R. Wyss, Anna Wyss, Brock Wyss, Andrew Sobotka, Nick (Justina) LaPoulas and Stacie LaPoulas; six great-grandchildren, Hunter Steele, Zachary Steele, Caleb Maguire, Emily Maguire, Codi (Meghan) Maguire and Cassie Maguire.
