Kenneth H. ”Gibby” Gibbs, 83, Anderson, died July 30, 2003 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after an extended illness. He was born January 29, 1920 in Lebanon, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1933. He retired in 1975 from Rolling Hills Nursing Center in their maintenance department. He served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW Post #266 and the American Legion. He was a disabled American Veteran. He was a former member of the Elks and Eagles. He is survived by his one daughter: Sharon & husband Lynn Matheson of Anderson. One Granddaughter: Terri Bathauer Neuendorf of Anderson. One Brother: Paul Gibbs of San Francisco, California. Five Sisters: Mary Ann Heinlen of Tuscan, Arizona. Helen Linn of Hemit, California. Martie Ripberger of Zionsville. Nellie Cordell of Indianapolis. Vicki Wilson of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was preceded by his wife whom he married April 6, 1940: Mary Roberts Gibbs on June 8, 1996. Parents: Robert H. & Carrie Sanders Gibbs. Two Brothers: Hubert Harold Gibbs, Robert ”Bobbie” Gibbs Jr.
