Kenneth G. Noble, Jr. (Kenny), 59, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, October 5, at IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He fought a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, continuing to live life to the fullest, with humor and spirit, until the very end.
Born in South Bend on May 14, 1957 to Kenneth G. Noble, Sr. and Barbara (Pinkowski) Noble, he graduated in 1975 from LaSalle High School and attended Indiana University at Bloomington where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. On July 12, 1986, Kenny married Patricia Black at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Tara and Kayla. Patty and Kenny were happily married, having just celebrated their 30th anniversary this past July. Kenny worked for the past 22 years as a sales rep for Winzer Corporation. His customers meant more to him than just a job; he considered them an important part of his life.
Kenny was passionate for fitness – working out for 40 years. He started out at Dave’s Gym until they closed and then continued at World Gym. He played softball and went on to coach his daughters in softball and basketball at Corpus Christi, and also coached softball at Chet Waggoner. He was an enthusiastic fan of his beloved Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, Notre Dame football, and Toronto Maple Leafs hockey. He thought he could sing “Take Me Out to The Ball Game” better than anybody else.
He is survived by his wife Patty, daughters Tara (Ryan) Takacs and Kayla (Drew Niedbala) Noble, grandchildren Kennedy and Hudson, his mother, Barbara, his brother, Christopher (Robin) Noble and their sons Chris (Amy) and Nick (Lindsay). Kenny is also survived by his mother-in-law, Anne Black, sisters-in-law Mary Rose (Craig) Nowicki, Jean (Tom) Morrell, Margie (Walter) Deacon, Paula (Pat) Loria, Carol (Rafael) Vargas, and Jenine (Don) Ward. Further survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly as well as his faithful friend and lap dog of 10 years, Ernest.
Kenny had an infectious smile and was a big kid at heart. He was a friend to everyone he met and he kept his friends for a lifetime. He and his best friend, Scott (Kellee) Moritz, were buddies for 40 years.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Sr., his father-in-law Raymond Black, brother-in-law Jay Smith, sister-in-law Sharon Hoffman, and great-niece, Adelaide Morrell.
