Kenneth E. White, 83, of Upton, passed away on June 10th, 2020, at home after a brief but furious battle with cancer.
Ken was born on September 21st, 1936 to the late George and Gertrude White in Upton, MA.
He attended Worcester Boys Trade High School where he studied the art of Mechanical Drafting.
After high school Ken served four years in the United States Air Force before beginning a long and interesting career as a draftsman. He worked on many projects for companies such as David Clark, Raytheon, and Polaroid. One of the projects he worked on was the design of NASA astronaut space suits for one of the Apollo projects.
Kenneth is survived by his children from his first marriage, David White and his wife Michelle of Northbridge, MA, Karen Heney of Northbridge, MA, Patty Palmer and her husband John of Northbridge, MA, Kimberly White of Northbridge, MA and Robert White and his wife Susan of Clermont, FL.
He is also survived by his step-children from his second marriage, Suzanne Axelrod and her husband Neil of Marietta GA, Cheryl Alonso and her husband Vincent of Elizabethtown, KY, Sandra Austin and her husband Glen of NH, Michael Egeland and his friend Kathy of Ashby, MA, John Egeland and his wife Eileen of Clinton, MA, David Egeland and his wife Amy of Ashby, MA and Daniel of CA.
He is also survived by his brother, Norman White of Florida and his sister, Gloria Nelson of Upton, MA with whom he lived and who took such good care of him until the very end.
Ken is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his wife of twenty years, Delma White, his stepson William and his beloved dog-son Wellington.
