Kenneth E. Wesner, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2015, in Phoebe Home of Allentown. He was the loving husband of Arlene V. (Druckenmiller) Wesner, with whom he shared over 71 years of marriage.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Edna E. (Thomas) Wesner. He was a 1943 graduate of Bethlehem Technical High School. Ken was a veteran of WWII, serving with the rank of T/SGT in the US Army Air Corps. He was a radio operator-gunner on a B17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber with the 8th Air Force, 306th Bomb Group, called the “Clay Pigeons” stationed in Thurleigh, England. His squadron, the 367th, called “The Reich Wreckers” engaged in heavy bombing missions over enemy occupied Europe.
