Those left to honor Kenneth’s memory include his wife, Marilyn of Mingo; 4 sons–Ed (Gina) Doty of Colfax, Randy Doty of Mingo, Bob (Andi) Doty of Mingo, and Kenneth Charles “KC” Doty of San Diego, CA; 2 daughters–Jody (John) Maher of Newton and Rhonda (John) Milligan of Mingo; 12 grandchildren–Chris (Brooke), Tiffany (Rusty), Robbie (Jamie), Mandy (Justin), Lindsey (David), Dana (Niel), Landon (Melissa), Ryan (Brandi), Chad, Dane, Mica (Lucas), and Lance; 14 great-grandchildren–Hayleigh, Macy, Mattie, Reagan, Kaytlin, Wyatt, Abigail, Brode, Jessen, Kylie, Kadance, Aiden, Koltt, and Carleigh; a brother, Dan (Maureen) Doty of Newton; a brother-in-law, Bob Miller of Higginsville, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Bernice (Littlejohn) Doty; and his sisters, Marlene Doty and Donna Miller.
Kenneth lived in Albia until age 12, then moved to Newton. He had lived in Mingo for 56 years. Kenneth attended Newton High School. He was a supervisor at the Maytag Company, where he retired from after 36 A½ years.
He was a former Mayor of Mingo, and also had served on Mingo City Council. Kenneth was an avid reader; loved animalsa”especially his dogs. He also enjoyed working on cars.
