Kenneth DaCosta Brown, 83, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away September 8, 2019. He was born May 27, 1936, in Bensonton, St. Ann, Jamaica to the late Melvin Brown and Margaret Morris. Mr. Brown relocated his family to Mount Vernon, NY in 1979, then moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1991.
In his earlier years, he worked as a diesel mechanic and enjoyed his United Methodist Church and Choir, as well as Men’s Fellowship; more recently he was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie. Kenneth enjoyed life, especially singing Methodist Hymns and fellowshipping with his family and friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Cora Brown.
He is survived by his children, Maxine Brown Marsh (Solomon) of Atlanta, GA, Vernon Brown of Port St. Lucie, FL, Dionne Joseph of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Claude Brown (Valda) of Kissimmee, FL; six grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Alecia, Richard, Vaughn, Brianna; one great-grandchild, Sariah; nieces and nephews, Beverley Brown, Barbara Brown, Michael Brown, Carole Brown, Marcia Brown, Sharon Brown, Mark Brown, Garfield Brown, Aldith Foga (Peter), and Jacqueline Kerr-Maxwell (Ian); and many loving family members and friends.
