Kenneth D. Logan, 67, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at his residence. He was born March 3, 1949, in Joliet, IL, the son of William Bates and Helen Logan. He married Sherry Riggs and they later divorced.
He is survived by 11 children, Kenneth Jackson Jr. and Clarence Smith, both of Hillsboro, Renay Barnes (James), Kenneth “Muff” Logan Jr. (Jessica), Kendall Logan (Tashia), Kendra “Bear” Anders (James), and Kennette Logan, all of Springfield, Tiffany Leavell (Aaron) of Danville, Kendrick “Man Man” Logan (Carrie) of Springfield, and William Smith (Rebecca) and James Thomas, both of Jacksonville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Percy Johnson Jr. and Victoria Wilson (Rocky), both of Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Bates; his mother, Helen Johnson; his stepfather, Percy Johnson in whose home he was raised; his companion, Cindy Curasi; and three siblings, Howard Johnson, Mary Catherine Johnson, and Richard Bates.
Kenneth worked in construction prior to being disabled and was a member of Bethel AME Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
