Kenneth James Criley, age 27 of Monroe, formerly of Saline, MI died suddenly Wednesday the 29th of June 2016 of cardiac arrest. He was born November 22, 1988 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania the son of E. Ronald Criley and Gail L. Mellor. Mr. Criley was a resident of Monroe, MI since moving from Saline in 2010. He was a construction laborer working for Ram Construction of Livonia and had worked extensively in the nursery-landscape industry for Lodi Farms Nursery and Heritage Lawn Care of Saline, MI. He graduated from Saline High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America, Ski & Snowboard Club and the JV Football team. He achieved the State FFA Degree, a Gold State FFA Proficiency Award in Nursery Operations and managed the 2nd Place State Winning Entry in the Michigan FFA Broiler Contest for Saline FFA. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, snowboarder, truck mudder, camper, kayaker and skilled mechanic. Survived by his girlfriend Brooklyn Justice of Monroe, MI, legal guardian David Mellor of Saline MI, Grandparents George E. Criley & Myrtle Criley, Liverpool PA, Cousin: Jenna M. Mellor of Waterford, MI. Sister: Emilia “Millie” Criley of Highspire, PA, Brothers: Stephen Criley of Saline, MI, Matthew Williams of Groton, CT, Bud Criley of Liverpool, PA, Wayne Criley of Pittston, PA, and James Criley of Harrisburg, PA. Nephews: Buddy Criley of Liverpool, PA, Jaxon Criley of Saline, MI. Nieces: Laya Criley of Saline, MI and Kristy Lehman of Liverpool, PA, Yelitza Toro (Criley) of Highspire, PA and three great nephews He was preceded in death by Father: E. Ronald Criley and Mother Gail L. Mellor and Grandparents: Kenneth James Mellor and Mildred T. Laurie (Mellor) of Scituate, RI, 2nd Cousins: Emily Grace Kent (Mellor) of Waterford, MI. and Joseph Hartman of Coventry, RI.
