Kenneth Charles Timmerman was born in Brighton on May 30th, 1935 to Henry and Olga (Bredehoft) Timmerman. He passed to glory on August 23rd at Inglenook Retirement Center.
He attended Whittier country school for 1st and 2nd grades and Zion Lutheran School through 3-8th grades. In 1954, he graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School, Seward, Nebraska. He received a scholarship to study engineering at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana, but at 19 years of age, upon the death of his father, he began managing the family wheat farm east of Brighton.
While at Concordia, he had met his future wife, Floy Heermann. They were married in 1955 and raised their five children on or near the family farm.
