Kenneth W. Bell, 48, of Bloomington, formerly of Erlanger, KY, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born April 28, 1964 in Newport, KY, he was the son of Gloria (Bell) Quisenberry.
Kenny was a 1982 graduate of Newport High School where he was a stand-out basketball player starting for the varsity team his sophomore year. He was a Northern Kentucky Sports Legion in 1982, a member of the 1000 point club and was voted first team all region player. He went on to play basketball at Cincinnati State University becoming the first team to win the NIT. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing fantasy football. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and an Order Entry Specialist at Mazak Corporation. Kenny’s biggest love of his life was his wife and family, especially his youngest daughter Kennedy, she was his pride and joy.
Survivors include his wife, Charmaine Matavuli of Bloomington, IN, one son, Kevin Williams, two daughters, Kennedy Bell who says “I love you dad, and will always be with you,” and Emma Matavuli, one granddaughter. Two sisters, Rhonda Quisenberry, Teresa Crawford, one brother, Raymond Crawford, two aunts, Aretha Jones, Darlene Franklin, one uncle, Keith Bell, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Quisenberry, maternal grandparents, Laura and Will Bell and his aunt Della Jewell.
