Kenneth Arthur Burdick, age 72, Navigators Way, Edgewater, died October10th at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Born in Lowville, New York, Mr. Burdick came to this area in 1990 from Syracuse, New York where he graduated from Central City Business Institute. He served in the US Air Force 174th Tag Fire Wing. He retired as Vice-President of Marine Midland Bank (HSBC) in Syracuse. Mr. Burdick was a member of the American Legion Post 17, New Smyrna Beach; Edgewater Landing Boat and Fish Club, Edgewater; VFW Post 3282, Port Orange; and worked for Volusia County Council on Aging for 11 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, sports, and was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane; son Mark T Burdick of Edgewater; daughter Deborah J. Sechler of Jacksonville; grandchildren Jessica J. and Kenneth E. Sechler of Jacksonville, Tracy R. and Kathleen M. Burdick of Marcellus, NY; sister Betty B. Bolduc of New Smyrna Beach; nieces Bethany J. Sibler of New Smyrna Beach, and Stacey E. Burdick of Rochester, NY; nephews Phillip P. Bolduc of Edgewater and Michael R. Burdick of Linden, NJ.
