Kenneth Allen Betts was born on February 7, 1961, to the late Wilson Betts and Earlean Betts in Portchester, NY. Kenneth was the youngest of 5 children in the family. The Lord called Kenneth home on the afternoon of August 3, 2024, at 3:38 PM at the age of 63.
Kenneth attended schooling in Portchester, New York and graduated from Portchester High School in 1979. After his schooling Kenneth decided that he wanted to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corp. From 1979 until 1984. During his time in the service, he would go on to marry Wanda Taylor, and from that marriage they had 5 children.
After leaving the service Kenneth took up residency in Virginia and became a supervisor/Truck Driver for Capital Paving for over 20 years. Eventually Kenneth decided he no longer wanted to work for anyone else so he started his own company called Betts and Sons Paving Until he fell ill in 2021and could no longer run his company.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. The children always had company come over because the house was considered the house where all the Game systems, games, the best fish tank set-up were at, so of course all the nieces and nephews wanted to hang out and play at Uncle Kenneth’s house with his children.
Kenneth’s hobbies were fishing and having his fish tank set up all throughout the house. And of course, he wanted to Teach all of the children and his nieces and nephews how to fish alongside him, so they would go out on fishing outings on the weekend whether it be at different spots or on his boats. Those were the good ole days!
