Kenneth A. Von Holtz, age 73, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Betsey Von Holtz, passed away peacefully Monday, July 30, 2018 in his home. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Theodore and Hilda Von Holtz, he had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. A graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired detective for the Fairfield Police Department where he also served as the first “Officer Friendly”.
