Kelly Ward, 54, of Mulberry, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2022. She was born April 24, 1968, in Lafayette, to Tracy H. and Dorothy (Taylor) Gray.
Kelly graduated from Jefferson High School in 1986. She attended Ball State University before earning her Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Purdue University.
On October 13, 2000, she married Gary C. Ward at Congress Street United Methodist Church in Lafayette and he survives.
Kelly worked as a preschool teacher for several different preschools. Her latest was for the Clinton Prairie School Corp. for the past 4 years.
Kelly will be remembered as a kindhearted, giving person with an infectious personality. She enjoyed teaching children, collecting miniatures and going on adventures with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, mother and three daughters, Emily Gray of Frankfort, Molly and Macy Ward, both at home, a sister, Tracy (husband Andy) Fristoe of Lafayette, a brother, Randy (wife Michele) Gray of Tega Cay, SC, as well as her extended family and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father.
