Kelly Lynn DeVoe, age 37, of Fort Payne, AL, passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2011 due to complications sustained in a motor vehicle accident on March 5, 2011.

Kelly was born in Monroe, NC. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Jean Shelton of Huntsville, AL.

Kelly is survived by her sons, K. C. Taylor DeVoe and Kelsey Hunter Morgan DeVoe; her parents, Patricia Tate Berkenbile and Chuck of Haleyville, AL, and Curtis DeVoe and Donna of Hornlake, MS; her siblings, Christopher Darren DeVoe of Earl, AR, Christopher Neil Henson of Virginia Beach, VA, Kevin DeVoe of Hornlake, MS, and Chianti Whaley and Zack Whaley, both of Rome, GA.

Kelly is the granddaughter of James and Freeda Tate, formerly of Huntsville, now of Rogersville, AL, Christine Tate Medckie and Archie, formerly of Huntsville, now of Rome, GA, and Ernest and Mildred DeVoe of Monroe, NC. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all who have contributed to Kelly’s care during this crisis at Mt. Moriah Church of Fort Payne, AL, youth minister Mr. Dion and Annette Wright, and Rahama Baptist Church of Fort Payne, AL, and to the doctors and nurses of UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
