Keith White, 49, of Peru, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2018. Mr. White was born on October 2, 1968, in Peru to Roy and Patricia (Cull) White. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in Normal and a master’s degree from the University of Baltimore. Keith was a youth worker for the LaSalle County Detention Home, served as a juvenile probation officer, and worked in the Environmental Literacy Council, Washington, DC. Keith loved politics, serving as a Republican Precinct Committeeman, and also was a volunteer for Bob Dole’s presidential campaign. He was also an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia of Peru; his sister, Lauri (Randy) Zamin of Gurnee; two brothers, Michael (Eva) White of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Kevin (Karen) White of Peru; four nieces, Morgan, Delaney, Cameron and Ashlyn and four nephews, Devin, Justin, Shawn, and Grant.
He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph’s Church, Peru.
