Keith R. Senders, 78, of Galesburg, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Galesburg.
He was born August 2, 1933 in Farmington to Leonard and Nina Spence Senders and married Lois Senders on January 26, 1957 in California. They were married for 32 years. Keith later married Mary R. Martinez on June 28, 1988 in Wisconsin. She survives.
Also surviving is his son, Terry (Karen) Senders of Normal; his daughters, Trudy (Bill) Southwell of Kansas City, KS and Linda Senders of Galesburg; his step-son David J. Martinez, and his step-daughter Maria “Chris” Martinez; his sister, Mary Barnes of Canton, IL as well as twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Keith attended school in Fulton County. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War and Vietnam War eras, and was a prisoner of war during part of his service.
He worked for Ford Motor Company, Gale Products, I.H.C., and retired from J&J Dog Supplies. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
