Keith Gerald Kirschenbauer, age 87, of Watertown Township, died on Saturday April 13, 2024, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.Keith was born on April 6,1937 to Albert and Edna (Drees) Kirschenbauer in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Sexton High School where he earned his high school diploma, following graduation Keith joined the Army National Guard of Michigan where he proudly served his country for six years. Keith worked for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant for many years before his retirement in 1999. On February 27, 1965, Keith Married the love of his life, Lorna Hopp, and together they enjoyed over 59 years of wedded bliss.During his life Keith enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, especially if it was the Detroit Lions or Tigers. He had a knack for bowling as Keith and his wife were in a bowling league together. He was always keen on a good joke and an occasional trip to the casino. He was a faithful member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1039 in Lansing where he was a member for over 40 years. He will be remembered for keeping an immaculate lawn and yard and Keith always made time to be at his grandkids sporting events which he loved to watch.Those left to cherish Keiths memory is his beloved wife, Lorna; children, Kelly (Dan) Whittemore and Shelly (Pat) Webb; grandchildren, Candace (Arthur) Whittemore, Morgan (DeShawn) Whittemore, Paige Henning, Karly (Noah) Henning; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Brayden, Kelcie, and Kota; sister, Betty Ann (Gordon) Daley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale (Mary Lou) Hopp; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert (Mary Lou) Kirschenbauer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy (Dolores) Sperry.
