Keith Elwood Whitley, 75, of Oakboro, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 , with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born March 3, 1948 in North Carolina to the late Martin Benjamin Whitley and Emma Cozetta Whitley.
Keith was also preceded in death by daughter Katrina; 3 brothers Kenneth, Cletus “Pete” and M.A. “Mus” Whitley, one sister Clara Mae Curlee .
After graduating from West Stanly High School, Keith was drafted into the US Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. When he returned home he met and married his wonderful wife of 52 years Frances Eudy. He was a self employed brick mason for many years and recently worked for Pattons Inc in Charlotte before he retired. Keith was a wonderful man, who loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include wife, Frances Eudy Whitley of the home, son, Rodney Lewis Whitley, brother Roy Lee Whitley, sister Judy Whitley Helms; and many nieces and nephews.
