Keith Douglas Crawley was born November 3rd, 1957, in Flagstaff, Arizona, “old hospital.” Keith let his mother know while she was out dancing, that he was ready to make his appearance. A grand entrance was how he approached the world from the start.
“I am King of the Forest!!!” Keith would burst forth in a perfect Oz rendition. And then begin telling his stories of impossible situations that could only happen to him. There was the one about being locked in a room with a crazed Jack Rabbit or even the fact that “however incredible it may seem”, Keith would say, “it happened again today, when I looked in the mirror I was better lookin today than yesterday.”
He charmed us all- his mother, Sarah Shafer and his step father, Robert Shafer…his sisters Deidre Crawley, Kirsten Crawley and his brother Jason Crawley and their children who affectionately called him “Gruncle” (short for “great uncle”) Keith and a host of friends. Keith loved his family, friends and this “mountain town”. We will just mention here that his favorite teacher was Lee Treece.
Keith passed away in the “new hospital” on January18, 2017. He has an amazing host of people welcoming him to his next adventure. His Father Bud Crawley, grandparents, cousins, uncles and friends.
