Keith Bradford Fleming departed from his earthly home to his heavenly home forever to be with his Lord and Savior on September 18, 2016 at the age of 88. He is no longer suffering from the confusion of alzheimer’s.

Mr. Fleming was born and raised in the Crawford Community in West Mobile County at Schillinger and Moffett Road. His father died when he was seven leaving seven children and a wife. The boys worked the local dairy’s and chicken farms and in the pecan orchard to help their mother. When he and his older brother, Kenneth were of age, they entered the military sending money home every month. During the Berlin Air Lift in Germany, Mr. Fleming learned to be a keypunch operator. He later trained with the IBM corporation and became a computer analyst and programmer entering the private industry with International Paper Co where he worked 32 years.

Keith had strong moral and work ethics. He dedicated his life to his family showing love and compassion to everyone. He played with the children and loved being silly to make them laugh. He enjoyed working at the church cutting grass or just holding a board. He was a talented wood worker making children’s tables and chairs and crafty  items. He and Barbara camped with their motor home club and were loved by all.

Mr. Keith Fleming is preceded in death by his beloved wife of  years; Barbara Pound Fleming, parents; William C and Goldie Leon Fleming, siblings Helen Priest, Phyllis Barrett, June, Kenneth, Vernon and Nelson Fleming and one grandson Murdock Larry Thomas, Jr. He is survived by his loving daughter Madalyne Dianne (Fleming) (Murdock L.) Thomas, and a son; Stephen (Freda) Fleming, one brother; Virgil Eugene Fleming, Sr., four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and of course many nieces and nephews.

A long prosperous and happy life came to a poor little country boy who started out in a log cabin. A devoted father, grandfather and friend will be greatly missed and leaves a hug void in our lives.
