LEWISVILLE- Keith Nugen Allhands, 93, passed away at Henry Community Health, New Castle, Indiana on Wednesday afternoon November 9th, 2022. Born on July 4th, 1929, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Keith was a lifelong Lewisville resident and graduate of Lewisville High School. Keith received his love of farming from his grandparents, Homer and Belle Nugen.  He took many naps on the tractor while being held by his grandpa.  He was a conservationist and steward of the land.  He believed it was everyone’s responsibility to take care of the land while here on this earth. He was a good mechanic and known as a great local historian. He gave many high school boys their first job on the farm.

          Keith is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Alexander) Allhands on December 12, 2013.  They were married in Indianapolis on September 11, 1948; his parents, Dallas Goodwin Allhands and Mary Alice (Nugen) Whitcomb.

          Keith is survived by his three children, Marcus (Pamela) Allhands, Keith W. (Linda) Allhands, and Katherine Searcy; nine grandchildren, Amy Richmond, Tamara Porter, Abby Means, Hannah Burke, Mary Smith, Ruth Allhands, Erik, Kurtis, and Nathaniel Searcy; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
