Keith Waid, age 65, of Mountainair, New Mexico passed away suddenly at his home on March 28, 2023. Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie; and sister, Debi. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Sue Waid, of 29 years; three children, daughter, Katya; sons, Matt and his wonderful wife Ashley, and Grant; 2 grandchildren, Abby and Allison; three brothers, Ron and his life partner Rita, Mike and special wife Lini, and Rusty; one sister, Teri as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Keith also leaves behind many friends and wonderful coworkers. Keith was a professional truck driver for the construction and dairy industries for 35 years with a perfect driving record. Keith was known as a loyal employee who always put in a hard day’s work and looked out for his fellow co-workers. Although he loved his work, he was looking forward to retirement with Sue in Tucson very soon. Keith enjoyed building his home and ranch in New Mexico, taking family vacations, fishing, football, shooting sports, golf, trucks, classic cars, and classic rock and roll. He always had his radio tuned to the music of the 70’s and 80’s. Keith enjoyed being called “old school”. He was a fan of old westerns, Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, and James Bond. Modesty and loyalty were his true traits. He loved a good joke and made many friends everywhere he went. He could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. Keith, you will be so deeply missed by your family. We thank you for teaching us a hard work ethic with a loving spirit. Although we don’t want to let you go, we know we will be together again one day.
