Keenan Isaiah Sarratt was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on December 31, 1948 to the late James Robert and Ivadell Sarratt. He passed away on February 21, 2023 after his battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973, and  retired from the federal government after 35 years of service.

Keenan Sarratt was a resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland where he leased a plot of land, growing multiple vegetables and fruits such as squash, corn, green beans, okra, cucumber, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, sweet potatoes, eggplants, and an assortment of winter greens. He shared his harvest with many family, neighbors, and friends. Keenan was also an active community member where he was a part of the New Carrollton Boys and Girls Club coaching staff for t-ball, softball, basketball, and track & field.  Keenan was a father figure to many youth.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Audrey Sarratt; two daughters, Jacquella Houey (Terrence) and Kendra Sarratt; three grandchildren, D’Careius, Ajustis, and Addisyn Houey; sisters, Earnestine Norris (John), Jamie Edwards (Franklin); brothers, James, Edgar Nathaniel, and Johnny Lee (Peggy); and three sister-in-laws, Mary Spady, Ella Sims, and Hattie Henderson. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
