Ms. Kazuko (Kay or Momo) Osanai Law, daughter of the late Yoshiyuki and Miyoshi Osanai, of Fukuoka, Japan was born on August 6, 1929 in Kitami City, Hokkaido and was called to her Lord on January 29, 2017 at age 87. She spent her formative years in Japan and China studying traditional Japanese art forms including folk, semi-classical and classical dance, tea ceremony, origami, temari, and Japanese doll-making. In 1948 Momo met and married an American Airman who brought her to the United States where she raised her family and worked as a tailor and cultural teacher. Momo is survived by her two daughters, Chieri Esposito of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Anita Broeren of Champaign, Illinois as well as 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Momo was an active leader by bringing traditional Japanese art forms to the Florida Panhandle and beyond thus awarded the Florida Folk Heritage and Merit Awards in 1996.
