On October 12, 2016, the Lord called Kazuko from this earthly existence to join Him in the Kingdom of Heaven. Kazuko was a devoted wife, loving mother, loyal friend and ardent fan of Sumo wrestling. Above all, she was a woman who was always ready and willing to put the needs of others before her own. Her passing leaves a discernable void in the hearts of all who knew her, but at the same time, we all have many cherished memories of Kazuko.
Kazuko was born and raised in Japan by her father and mother, Itaro and Satsu Ozaki. Later, after she married Fletcher Hunn, she moved to the U.S. and became an American citizen. Kazuko and Fletcher had one son, Ben Hunn.
As a mother, Kay demonstrated her unconditional love for Ben through good times and bad. No matter how difficult things became, she always remained strong for her son, displayed limitless patientce and an ability to forgive, rarely observed among mere human beings.
In her last days she was blessed to be attended by many of her dearest friends. In particular her family wishes to thank Donna Parker; Mark and Jerri Rollins, and their children, Eric and Stephanie; Randy and Carol Vernon; Atsuko Dougan; and Vern Fisher. It is not possible to acknowledge all those who loved Kay, but to all, named and unnamed the family wishes to express their deep and eternal gratitude. God bless you all!
Kazuko was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Hunn.
