Kazimierz Matys, 77, of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT. He was the beloved husband of Anastazja (Dudek) Matys for 47 years. Born in Poland, son of Franciszek and Maria (Wasylczuk) Matys, he was a longtime New Britain resident and member of Holy Cross Church. Kazimierz served in the Polish Army and retired from New Britain General Hospital after working there for 35 years as an electrician. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he leaves his wife Anastazja, his four children; Elizabeth Matys-Rahbar and her husband Ali of Stamford, Frank Matys of New Britain, Paul Matys of CA, and Caroline Matys and her husband Lou DeVito of PA; and two grandchildren, Kaya and Nima. He also leaves his brother Jozef Matys of Poland and his dear sister-in-law Katarzyna Orzel and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ludwyka Matys.
