Kaye Donna Greenwood (McCarthy), 77, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully following her long battle with Alzheimer’s on August 5, 2018. Kaye was born in Pontiac, MI to her parents Leo and Hazel McCarthy. Kaye Donna grew up in Cass City, MI where she still has a lot of family and many great friends. While attending a dance in Caro, MI, she met a boy that caught her eye. They danced, and the rest is history. Ken and Kaye married on August 12, 1961 and moved to California where they had 2 children. There were a lot of tragedies in her life. She lost her mother in 1966 in a tragic accident. In 1968, one and a half months before her daughter was born and with a 2-year-old son, Ken suffered an aneurysm which nearly took his life. She had to be the backbone of the family at age 27. With that, she never complained. She cared for her disabled husband and two very young children. She worked, bought a home and saved. There was never a feeling of going without. We felt rich. She taught us about commitment and strength. Kaye worked for Pacific Bell for 30 plus years and retired in 2001. Kaye is survived by her husband Kenneth Greenwood of almost 57 years. son, Kirk (Christi) Greenwood of Corona, CA, daughter, Kim (Kurt) Seger of Scottsdale, AZ, her three treasured grandchildren, Austin, Brad and Myka, Sister, Ellen Schmidt, of Cass City, MI, Sister in law, Linda McCarthy of Portland, OR, Sister in Law, Lanie (Lewie) Stier, of Cayucas, CA, Brother in law Dan (Erika) Greenwood of Riverside, CA, Sister in law, Eunice Greenwood of Caro, MI as well as many special nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special friend Barbara (Paul) Burdon of Cass City, MI. Her comfort cat, Angel and loyal dog, Sandy are also saddened by their loss.

The most important thing in Kaye’s life was her family. She will always be in our hearts.  She is missed dearly.
