Kay (Black) Clark, 69, passed away peacefully while enfolded in the loving arms of her daughter on December 16th, 2013. Kay was born on March 9th, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles Benjamin Black and Mary Frances Hodge.
Kay’s family settled in Oklahoma prior to its statehood and they were true “Sooners.” During her childhood, Kay lived throughout Oklahoma and Kansas before settling in Boulder, Colorado where she graduated high school. She married “Red” Clark and after making Littleton their home, she had 2 children, Robert and Mary Kay. Soon after, her brother, Bill and his wife “Pete” settled nearby.
Kay was the social butterfly in any situation. She was a natural at sales and marketing and was committed to making customers into friends. Kay spent much time with her significant other, Glen Brink and their dog Rosie. In addition to being a member of the Serendipity Sunday School class, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and was active in the Columbine Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution with her daughter. But more than anything, Kay loved her children and 2 granddaughters, Emily and Bonnie.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents and brother, C. W. “Bill” Black.
