NOT so long ago in a galaxy far, far away a beautiful shining star was born. No words truly describe the magical human Katie was during her time on Earth. Her aura glowed in ways that tranformed the bleakest of frowns into sunshine in the form of a smile wherever she went. She was our silver lining on the darkest of days. Katie, AKA Frazzle, will always remain present in our hearts.

Katie Lyn Weber, 35, of Elm Street, Hatfield passed away at Hartford Hospital on October 13 after a long and courageous battle with kidney failure. She was born on April 18, 1987, to Jodi (Sadowski) Pepin and Douglas Weber.

Katie attended schools in Easthampton MA, graduating from Easthampton High School in 2005. She worked at Muffin’s General Market in Whately, from 2013 to 2017, when she was no longer able to work. During her time at Muffin’s she made many lifelong friends. She had a special bond with her co-workers and they became known as the Muffinettes. She previously worked at Burger King from 2001 to 2013, starting when she 14, and working her way up to management

Katie leaves behind the love of her life, her son, Caleb Ryznic, her parents, Jodi & Dan Pepin, and Doug Weber, her siblings whom she loved dearly, Bill and Suzy Weber, and her niece Doris Jean Daniels, with whom she had a special bond and whom she loved with all her heart, her maternal grandparents, Jean Sadowski and Joe & Libby Sadowski, and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom were her champions. Katie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Roland and Marion Weber.

And a very special thank you to Alice Wimer, who started as her Physical Therapist and became family.
