Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Katherine Rodriguez passed away in her home on March 10th, 2020 at the age of 49 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years George Rodriguez; Children: Serena (Alejandro) Altamirano, and Austin (Melanie) Rodriguez; grandchildren: Elena Altamirano, Jace Rodriguez, and Raven Rodriguez; sister Toni Archuleta; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother Virginia Archuleta and father John Archuleta.
Kathy was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. While attending West Denver High School she met the love of her life and best friend George, they married in 1988 and had two children. Together they built a beautiful home and traveled the world together.
Kathy was a devout mother, a true mama bear. She cherished her children and was proud to have raised them both to graduate from university, marry, and have children of their own. She especially loved her role as Nana. She sweetly spoiled her grandchildren in every way possible.
Kathy was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2015. Kathy was fierce and courageous in her battle, an exemplary model of strength. Every day she chose to defeat her disease, and every day she succeeded by living her life to the fullest. The family would like to thank those who encouraged her, supported her, and held her hand in her battle.
