Kathy L. Menzel received the Lord on October 1, 2014 at the age of 66 years. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born in Baytown, Texas, she was the daughter of Paul and Joyce Lounsberry, Sr. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Lamar University. Mrs. Menzel was a retired and beloved teacher of 33 years. She taught in Beaumont ISD, Lumberton ISD and Comal ISD. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Beaumont then St. John’s Lutheran Church of Boerne. Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Chris H. Menzel; her daughter Kristin Menzel Deitch and husband Jeff; her grandchildren Madison, Cooper and Griffin; her mother Joyce S. Lounsberry; her brother Paul M. Lounsberry, Jr. and wife Sandy; her sister Becky Miller and husband Lonnie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
